För att öka den militära förmågan genomför Försvarsmakten under september försvarsmaktsövning Aurora 17. Aurora 17 är detn första och största övningen i sitt slag på mer än 20 år. Samtliga stridskrafter och fler än 20000 män och kvinnor kommer att delta. Det är en nationell övning som bygger ett starjare försvar och ökar den samlade förmågan att möta ett angrepp på Sverige. Under Aurora 17 kommer även ett flertal myndigheter och militära förband från andra länder delta.
