The purpose of the course is to prepare nationally trained Staff Officers from NATO and PfP countries for assignments in Peace Support Operations (PSO), by giving them a working knowledge of NATO/PfP staff procedures, in order to function at multinational division/brigade HQ level.

The course is conducted by a mixture of lectures, case studies, syndicate work, map exercises (MAPEX) and a final Command Post Exercise (CPX) where the students man the different branches in a Brigade headquarters.

The students will experience some Swedish hospitality during the welfare weekends in Stockholm.
