Germany’s first team won with skiers Catherina Hennig and Victoria Carl. The silver went to French skiers Flora Dolci and Lena Quintin, and bronze to Nadja Kaelin and Anja Weber from Switzerland.

On Tuesday evening, an official opening ceremony was carried out in the Boden Arena, in which the championship’s first medals were handed out. It was hosted by colonel Carlos Verdugo, the highest-ranking CISM representative.

The men’s sprint was won by Jules Chappaz and Richard Jouve from France’s first team. The silver went to Avelino Naepflinand Beda Klee from Switzerland’s first team. The bronze was awarded to Finnish skiers Remi Lindholm and Ristomatti Hakola.

During the ceremony colonel Carlos Verdugo, the highest-ranking representative for CISM, declared the Championship open to military music performed by the Royal Swedish Navy Band.
The championship continues until Friday with Ski Mountaineering, Biathlon and Ski Orienteering. A final award ceremony will be held on Friday evening for all participants.
