The US train navigation in Karlskrona archipelago

In the next few weeks, US defence personnel and boats will participate in a Swedish exercise in the Karlskrona archipelago. The aim is to train/practise archipelago navigation together. The Swedish archipelago is complex and challenging to navigate in and the training is divided into different stages including both protection and attack.

Sweden exercises and conducts training together with the US on a regular basis. The bilateral cooperation between Sweden and the US is very important. The prioritized areas for enhanced cooperation are i.a. capability development, exercises and training.

US personnel and materiel has arrived with several separate flights to the Blekinge Wing , F 17. They were then transported on to the Naval Base in Karlskrona.
