This is the third time SWEDINT is hosting a PTEC conference. The Commandant of SWEDINT, COL Lena Persson Herlitz opened the conference welcoming the participants and especially the three new PTEC members during 2014:
- U.S. Special Operations Command’s Joint Special Operations University (JSOU).
- Partner Language Training Center Europe (PLTCE), George C. Marshall Center.
- Five Hills Peace Support Operations Training Centre (FHPSOTC).

The aim of the conference is to share and develop common interests related to Education and Training (E&), both from national requirements and in support of NATO requirements. The PTEC community started in 1999 and have grown from initially 5 PTECs to 29 PTECs today.
