Task Force Takuba is a French-led multinational special forces task force operating in Mali and Niger. The Swedish contribution to Task Force Takuba consists of a heliborne rapid reaction force of 150 soldiers and officers. On 17 February, France announced their withdrawal of troops from Mali. This decision will not affect the Swedish contribution, however. It will be dismantled before the end of March, as planned. The Swedish mandate for the mission is slightly more than a year and was initiated in February 2021.

Sweden also contributes 220 soldiers to UN-led MINUSMA and 8 officers to EU-led EUTM Mali.
