No Swedish personnel were harmed at Kabul Airport in the explosion in Kabul on Thursday afternoon. All members of the Swedish operation at the Hamid Karzai Airport have been counted and all are unharmed. Swedish Armed Forces personnel have assisted in the care of injured individuals following the attack.

All Swedish personnel have been counted and nobody was hurt in the explosion that occurred at the airport on Thursday afternoon. The two Swedish Tp 84 aircraft used in the operation were at the airport in Islamabad at the time of the terrorist attack. The aircraft were not at the Kabul airport when the explosion occurred.

Swedish personnel helped injured individuals

The Swedish personnel present at the airport at the time of the attack helped taking care of injured individuals. Swedish personnel have also donated blood to the field hospital set up at the airport.

The operation continues

The operation will continue on Friday and it will not be completed by the Swedish Armed Forces until all Swedish personnel have returned to Sweden. Approximately 1 100 individuals have been evacuated by the Swedish aircraft. The majority have now arrived in Sweden.
