General Micael Bydén continues as Supreme Commander

On 1 April, the government decided to extend the mandate of Supreme Commander General Micael Bydén until September 2024.

General Bydén has served as Supreme Commander since 2015 and his time of service is now extended by three more years.

Defence Resolution 2020 enables us to take further steps forward to meet the demands of the world, and to continue our active defence. Always in the right place, in the right time”, says Supreme Commander General Micael Bydén.
