NATO’s Allied Command Transformation, with support from the Joint Warfare Center and the Joint Analysis Lessons Learned Centre, teaches the NATO Lessons Learned Staff Officer course at SWEDINT.

The four and a half day course is designed to prepare Lessons Learned Staff Officers to manage and execute an organisational LL capability using NATO LL-related processes, training, tools and information sharing. The course is intended for LL personnel (civilian and military) from NATO commands, the Nations, and Centers of Excellence.
The course takes the students through the entire LL process, including gathering data and information, analysis methodologies, generating commitment by the organization to make the changes, techniques for actually implementing the changes, and sharing the results of the organizational learning.
The LL capability is a vital tool for improving mission accomplishment. This course provides the education and training necessary for NATO commands, Nations and Centers of Excellence to enhance their LL capabilities.
