Finska trupper anländer till Oskarshamn för vidare transport till södra Sverige. Aurora 23 genomförs från den 17 april till den 15 maj 2023 och är den största nationella övningen i sitt slag på mer än 25 år. Omkring 26 000 män och kvinnor deltar i övningen. Övningen genomförs i luften, på marken och till sjöss. Förband över hela Sverige är delaktiga men det är framförallt i södra Sverige samt på och runt Gotland det är som mest aktivitet under övningen. Ett flertal nationer och myndigheter kommer att delta i försvarsmaktsövning Aurora 23. På så sätt ökar vi den svenska totalförsvarsförmågan. Tillsammans med militära förband från våra partnerländer, bygger vi säkerhet samtidigt som vi ökar den svenska operativa förmågan. Deltagande nationer förutom Sverige är USA, Storbritannien, Finland, Polen, Norge, Estland, Lettland, Litauen, Ukraina, Danmark, Österrike, Tyskland och Frankrike.
