What can visitors expect?
In addition to aerial and ground displays, visitors will have the opportunity to explore exhibitions on the ground featuring various branches of the Swedish Armed Forces as well as civilian authorities and organizations. There will also be a dedicated area for those interested in conscription and career opportunities within the Swedish Armed Forces. As part of the exhibition, Swedish and international aircraft and helicopters will be on display for closer inspection.
When will the flight program be released?
The Jubilee Air Show will take place on 22–23 August, with the same program on both days. The flying display will be conducted in the morning and afternoon, with a noise break in the middle of the day.
The event will feature flying displays by both Swedish and international aircraft, with the theme past, present, and future. At present, the exact release date of the flight program is not known. Once finalized, it will be published at www.forsvarsmakten.se/flygdagen.
Will there be any additional costs for visitors?
No, admission will be free of charge.
Are tickets required even though admission is free?
No, tickets are not required.
Is photography permitted?
Photography is permitted from the public areas during the event. However, the use of drones is strictly prohibited.
Food and refreshments
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase within the event area.
Transportation by bus or car
As a large number of visitors is expected, there is a risk of traffic congestion. We therefore encourage visitors to leave their cars at home and choose alternative modes of transportation. Free shuttle buses will operate between central Linköping and the air show area on both days.
Parking
Malmen Air Base is located in Malmslätt, within the municipality of Linköping. Clearly signposted parking areas will be available; however, we recommend that visitors who are able to use public transport, cycle, or walk to and from the venue do so in order to avoid traffic congestion. Free bus transportation to and from central Linköping will be provided on both days.
