“Exercises of this kind strengthen the Swedish-Finnish capability of solving various tasks, and also demonstrate that we are prepared to defend our common interests against any adversary”, says Fredrik Stålberg, deputy chief of the Joint Forces Command.

The exercise has been planned by both countries and concerns both the operational and the tactical levels. All service branches and military regions participate as well as units from the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics, FMLOG; the Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, and the Armed Forces Communication and Information Systems Command, FMTIS. Finland contributes with a coastal jaeger unit and support elements.

The Swedish defence cooperation with Finland encompasses activities during peace, crisis as well as war.
