The Logistics Regiment, TrängR, is based at Skövde. Its activities include the development, supervision and training of maintenance, traffic and medical units.

When on a mission, the regiment’s task is to ensure that the units furthest forward are kept supplied with food, water, fuel, spares and everything else they require in order to do their job. So-called ‘movcon' (Movement Control) platoons facilitate transport movements, making sure that the roads are open and passable for units that have to move.

The Logistic Regiment also houses the Logistics College. The college runs long and short courses dealing with all aspects of logistics. Students come from all the armed services. The Logistics College includes a traffic and driving school with the primary task of training teachers and instructors covering traffic safety, driving and the provision of transport services.

The Logistic Regiment normally provides personnel and units to take part in existing Swedish missions abroad.
