The Land Warfare Centre, LWC, develops capabilities and trains individuals and response units in armed ground warfare for national and international missions. LWC strives to achieve constant improvements within all its areas of activity in order to meet future demands.
An education council dictates our educational goals and we continuously evaluate and adapt our methods to become the leading centre of expertise for ground warfare.
We take part in and pursue our own research, development and trials of materials systems, organisations and units. We support regiments in developing optimum methods for highly effective ground warfare.
Everyone who takes part in LWC exercises is required to understand their own role and function in the complex command and combat environment that units must operate in.
The initial effect and endurance sought calls for commanders that act, lead, control, survey terrain and achieve local superiority and win duels with firepower. A unit’s action – tested under combat fire is of the highest significance and priority. A high level ability to utilise in practice all materials and command, lead and take care of one’s men is vital.
