Stronger Nordic-Baltic Cooperation

Nordic Battlegroup’s mission – to be ready as a strong contributor to the EU crisis management capability – will be completed on the 30th of June 2015.

The ceremony that marks the contribution of the Estonian NBG members was held in Tallinn by the presence of the Chief of Estonian Defence Forces Riho Terras and the Nordic Battlegroup Force Commander Torbjörn Larsson.

- “Deployed or not - the Nordic Battlegroup has made the cooperation stronger between our countries. Stronger on all levels – from us the soldiers on the ground to the leaders in our capitals”, says Nordic Battlegroup Force Commander Torbjörn Larsson.

Estonia contributes to the Nordic Battlegroup with civil-military (CIMIC) teams, military police and EOD-units. Estonia has also participated in all three Nordic Battlegroup (2008, 2011 and 2015).
