The answer is that in most situations we need to improve and develop terms for cooperation and coordination between military, police and civilian organisations in peace support operations.

The aim for the CMR course is to find ways to make our work in different PSO missions more efficient and the students in this course are representing these three components.  Some of them will soon be deployed to Afghanistan, some like the students from ICRC and UNHCR are working in missions right now.

When the students leave SWEDINT on Friday the 12th of December, they will have a solid background to deal with both CIMIC, Civil Military Liaison and Civil Military Coordination in the mission area.
