Find your way to Malmen

Malmen Airbase is situated outside Linköping approximately 200 kilometres southwest of Stockholm.

There are three parking areas and five access roads to the Air Show, but despite all our planning there are bound to be some queues. For this reason we recommend, if at all possible, that you cycle, walk or use public transport.

Bus number 13 towards Malmslätt is free of charge between Resecentrum (the railway station) and the Air Forces Museum. There is an area for parking bicycles at the east and west of the runways for cyclists from Malmslätt and the town centre respectively, via the cycle path along Malmslättsvägen.

Parking Information

E4 Tift, for traffic from the north on the E4. Price: SEK 20.
Turn off at exit 112 Linköping Norra (IKEA), turn right at the Ullevi roundabout and drive along Nygårdsvägen- Nya Ledbergsvägen to Tift. There are shuttle buses from there to Malmen/Air Force Museum.

West end of the runway, for traffic from the south on the E4 and the city centre via Vikingstad. Very limited access between 10:30-15:00. Price: SEK 50. From the E4 south, turn off at Mantorp exit 110. Drive along the old E4 to Vikingstad, then along Bankebergsvägen.
From the town centre, drive towards Vikingstad, then along Bankebergsvägen.

Since parts of the access road before the parking area are under the flight area, there must not be any queues when jet aircraft are in flight. For this reason, traffic will only be allowed during short periods after 10:30. Queues will form by the barriers. Allow plenty of time.

East end of the runway, with three separate entrance roads, for traffic leaving the E4 at exit 111 (Tift) and road 34 and traffic from the centre. Price: SEK 50.
From the E4/road 34, turn right at the Ryd roundabout and then right at the Jägarvall roundabout, towards the eastern end of the runway.
From the city centre, drive along Malmslättsvägen, turn off Kärnavägen towards Malmslätt and then Malmenvägen. Or turn right at the Ryd roundabout and then left onto Rydsvägen and Jägarvallsvägen.
From this car park it is a 20-30 minute walk along a gravel/grass/wood chip road to the air show area. There will be a limited number of buses for those who cannot walk easily.
