General Information Serious Games

Serious Games is used by SWEDINT during command post exercises (CPX) to visualise the situation in an Area of Responsibility using e.g. virtual helicopter reconnaissance. The United Nations Police Officer Course (UNPOC) uses Serious Games to train UN police officers how to handle different situations in a mission area, such as map reading, radio communication and report writing. Serious Games is an excellent tool to describe complex situations and events and to engage trainees. Offering the possibility of recording and replaying all events, the after action review generated by Serious Games creates a very good learning experience. This three-day course focuses more on the pedagogical
aspects than on the technical ones.
