Course Purpose
The underlying theme of the course is the need for civilian-, military- and police officers to develop terms for co-operation and co-ordination in Peace Support Operations (PSO) led by the UN, the EU or NATO. The course relies heavily on interaction between the participants during the classroom exercises.

- Understanding the CIMIC and CMCoord mechanisms between the three actors (civilian, military and police)

- The differences and similarities between civilian, military- and police components of a PSO

- Humanitarian Law and Human Rights
- Gender perspectives
- Cultural awareness
- Civilian dimension
- Police dimension
