On Tuesday 24th of January the Swedish Armed Forces Supreme Commander, General Sverker Göranson,  inaugurated a Nordic centre to raise the participating countries competence in gender issues within planning, execution and evaluation in military operations.
The Swedish Minister of Defence, Sten Tolgfors, held the opening speech and stated:
- It is imperative that Resolution 1325 is not perceived as something aside or separated from other efforts. Rights of civilians, women and children, must be a natural and integrated part of all that we do to support peace and security.

NATO/PfP Junior Staff Officer Course at SWEDINT is conducting the final Command Post Exercise where the students are manning the different branches in a Nordic Battalion Headquarters.

Monday 21 November 34 students from eleven different nations began studying at the NATO/PfP Junior Staff Officer Course at SWEDINT. The course is the last one for the year 2011 and is conducted under the umbrella of NORDEFCO.
