International Artillery Symposium 2010

International Artillery Symposium 2010

The International Artillery Symposium, IAS, is this year implemented on September 27 to October 1 in Sweden.

Swedish Armed Forces and the Artillery Regiment are proud to welcome you all to Boden in northern Sweden late September 2010. The event has never taken place in Sweden and we are ready to take the challenge.

Background

The International Artillery Symposium is designed to be a yearly reunion of the Chiefs of Artillery for NATO and PfP countries. The symposium offers a forum for the professional exchange of knowledge and skills.

The main topic of the 2010 symposium will be “Engagement of time sensitive targets with Indirect Fire – the way to achieve precision and immediate response”. This topic will allow countries to highlight their Artillery accomplishments and also an opportunity to glimpse into the future by demonstrating how various countries will equip, train and organize Artillery units for future operations.

During the symposium there will be a “Swedish Artillery day” a show-case of Swedish Artillery equipment.

Draft programme and registration form are available as downloadable files to the right.
