Air Combat Training School

The Air Combat Training School, LSS is the principal centre of excellence for the development and training of the Swedish Air Force. The LSS consists of three establishments: the Flying School, the Command, Control and Air Surveillance School and the Aircrew Training School.

On assignment from the Armed Forces Headquarters, the Air Combat Training School also participates in the development of materiel, methods and units in the field of air warfare.

A third important function relates to operations and preparedness. The Air Combat Training School participates in the constant monitoring of Swedish airspace.

The Air Combat Training School was established on 1 January 2005.
