India and Pakistan - UNMOGIP

The Mission was established as far back as 1949 and in terms of geography spans the ceasefire line in the region of Jammu and Kashmir.

The headquarters are located in Rawalpindi, Pakistan from November to April and in Srinagar, India, from May to October. There are some ten stations with UN personnel. The operative force consists of 40-50 people.

Mission
UNMOGIP supervises the ceasefire between India and Pakistan along the LoC (Line of Control) in Jammu and Kashmir.
