Joining the Swedish Armed ForcesTerms of employment
The Swedish Armed Forces is allocated an annual budget of some SEK 40 billion to perform its responsibilities. Around half of this goes to unit operations and the rest to research, development and the purchasing of new materials systems.
The Swedish Armed Forces’ most important resource is its personnel. The Swedish Armed Forces’ payroll includes women, men, officers, civilians, contract soldiers and national service people.
