The units the Armed Forces train are entered in different international force registers which are administered by the EU, the UN or Nato. The units or individual areas of competence different countries have available are listed and coordinated in the force registers. This facilitates the rapid deployment of an international force consisting of several different units when the need arises.
The unit trains together and is in a high state of readiness for fast development in a particular mission area. The same unit can be entered in several registers. Just now the largest emergency unit is the Nordic Battle Group, one of the EU’s rapid response forces. The Nordic Battle Group has a modular structure, that is to say it is possible either to deploy the entire unit or select individual sections of it as required.
