WMSC 2008 dekal

WMSC - 2008 The 43:rd World Military Shooting Championship

A warm welcome to Sweden and Boden Garrison. It is an honour that we - the Norrbotten Regiment - have been selected to arrange the WMSC.

In Sweden there is no doubt that the Garrison is well known for its unique facilities for all matters military. The training areas have expanded and developed since the beginning of the 1900:s, when the first spade was turned in building the famous fortress that surrounds the town of Boden.

The fortress may have outlived its usefulness, but Boden Garrison is still one of the country's largest military establishments.

The Regiment's personnel have put considerable energy into arranging testing competitions and creating the best possible conditions so that you, the participants, will be able to perform to your utmost.

My hope is that you all leave Boden after a well run championship with lifetime memories of a rewarding and enjoy-able occasion in the best spirit - friendship through sport.
