ILLC 2010 - International Lessons Learned Conference

Karlbergs slott, Solna, Stockholm

The 6th International Lessons Learned Conference (6th ILLC 2010) took place in Stockholm, Sweden, 21 – 24 June 2010, at the Military Academy Karlberg. Hosts for the conference were the Swedish Armed Forces and the Folke Bernadotte Academy.

The 6th ILLC 2010 offered practitioners and experts from the military, police and civilian organisations in the field of Lessons Learned and Knowledge Management an opportunity to discuss practical lessons and methods on four important aspects relating to complex peace operations: the comprehensive approach, leadership, protection of civilians, as well as security of personnel when working in international operations (missions).

The aim of the ILLC 2010 was to share lessons and best practices from a variety of military, police, civilian and civil-military missions/operations worldwide; to share know-how about methods, processes and tools used to identify and apply lessons learned and best practices; and to create networking opportunities for military, police and civilian lessons learned/best practices professionals from individual countries and international organizations.

Presentations and the conference photo from the 6th ILLC 2010 are posted on webpage. The conference report will be posted shortly as well.
